Office of Information Technology (IT)

The Office of Information Technology (IT) is a department within the general county government system. The IT department strives to improve the technology base, update the departments with the latest technology available within their prospective budget limits, and centralize email accounts.

We currently are in charge of managing the wireless internet service and network infrastructure within the general county government system. The wireless service is available in 4 locations including the County Complex. The department manages the 3 server locations within the Governmental Complex.

Web creation, design, and data entry is managed within the Technology office.

The Technology office manages and maintains all the CarrollCountyVA.org email accounts which is hosted offsite by Mailtrust.us. All county email accounts use webmail or IMAP so that no email data is lost.

We make recommendations towards purchasing of Computers, printers, and other computer related equipment for county offices. All this is done in accordance with the County Procurement Guidelines.
