Carroll County adopted the USBC in 1973 in compliance with State Law for the assurance of quality construction, health and safety. Building permits are required for construction of all types along with permits for electric, plumbing or mechanical before the work starts. Permits for mobile homes are issued through this office also, prior to moving the mobile home.
The Building Official's Office is located in the Carroll County Governmental Center on Pine Street, Hillsville, VA, 24343 in Room B 220.
